is thinking about an indie-web commenting system
#
aaronpk
you can only comment on my blog posts by creating a new post on your own domain and linking back to my post, like pingbacks http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pingback
#
aaronpk
you could then include some sort of microformat-like markup around the paragraph(s) you want to show on my site as the comment
#
aaronpk
my site would catch the pingback, scan your site for the inbound link, look for the comment block and display the comment on my site linking back to yours
#
aaronpk
it's a slightly augmented version of the current pingback system.
#
aaronpk
there are still ways this is open to spam, but much less than traditional comment systems, and it would also look nicer than the current pingbacks
#
aaronpk
also it encourages you to own your own comments since they would be on your own site

Hey everyone — does anyone know how many items you 'should' have in an atom (implied activitystream) feed?
#

I can't find anything in the specs, was wondering if there's a rule of thumb people use

[http://twitter.com/BarnabyWalters] ATOM implied Activitystream added and submitted to technorati. Starting to feel more like an #indieweb site now! http://t.co/AzOLmtEJ
