tantek as in, in-page inline JS tends to work fine, but external JS tends to be more flakey, and XHR stuff tends to be especially flakey (since error recovery needs to be done by the web dev instead of browser - i.e. reloading doesn't fix it, and few if any web devs deal with errors from XHR, nor even know how to, or that it's a problem)
