[wiobyrne] Question: I'm building up my digital "commonplace" book, and this is easy when I come across digital content. But, it's a challenge when documenting/arching content from offline or mobile sources.

[wiobyrne] My current response/tool is Google Keep. If I'm listening to an audiobook/podcast, (or get an idea while running, showering, running in the shower), I'll use Keep to create an audio note, that is automatically transcribed by the app. I can move this over to a post.

[wiobyrne] It gets harder as I'm reading a "traditional" printed text, find a sign, a whiteboard, etc. I'm trying to identify a meaningful, effective way to capture that content, and drag it over to my site to document. Any ideas, processes, tools, appreciated.

Zegnat I think archiving digital content is already hard enough, ha. That is actually going to be my IWS project.

[chrisaldrich] [wiobyrne] there's also a similar app called Office Lens from Microsoft that does a pretty solid job for photos, business cards, documents, and whiteboards (and allows cropping and reorients things if you're taking photos from odd angles).

[wiobyrne] When I was an Evernote addict, I'd add images, audioclips, bookmarks, etc. to my notebooks. If possible, I'd like to get some of that same functionality with my breadcrumbs website. I wonder if I can pull in my content on Google Keep into my site in some capacity.
