[tantek] indeed bradenslen, indieweb is not even primarily microformats and h-cards and stuff. it's about /principles and direct user benefits. "microformats and h-cards and stuff" are purely the simplest/easiest means to those ends, the least developer work for interoperability across our sites using different solutions.
