[tantek]I'm doing this starting with posts dated March 16th (posted after the fact), the day before we started our shelter-in-place in SF: https://tantek.com/2020/104/t2/sunset-before-distancing — that's my "day 0" post. I'm using my existing blog, with the hashtag #SFdistancing (manually POSSEd to Instagram, and partially to Twitter due to text length limits and limit to 4 photos per post)
ZegnatI have a Beurer BF600 (bluetooth scale) as well as Beurer AS97 (activity tracker) on its way to me. There was a cheap package deal and decided it would be worth a try.
ZegnatNot a lot of indiewebing getting done on my end today though. Currently playing around with a browser extension idea in wait for my weekly D&D session to kick off.
jeremycherfasHeart rate attracts me too, because I would like to see changes in resting heart rate and variability, but I really don't know how reliable any of the affordable trackers are for that. And right now an Apple watch is not affordable.
ZegnatYeah, that is my concern too with heartrate. But the Beurer is a - imo - good enough hardware brand that for the sales price I found the package deal at I was willing to try
ZegnatIt is one of those types of stores that sells any random gadet thing. A telescope fork all the way up to full Raspberry Pi kits. But you need to have a bit of luck on the sales.
jeremycherfasThere are a couple of those here too. One I get a daily email from with a bunch of things that might be fun to play with, but not so much fun that I am actually going to spend money.
[LewisCowles][jeremycherfas] [Zegnat] not much. I've been tinkering, but mostly I'm relaxing
