# [Sam_Butler] _1. There's no interest in user sign-ups, accounts, or data. You can do everything on the site without an account, except for the actions which are important to be associated with a given profile. So you can see everything, share everything, create new projects, all without creating an account. Only when you're commenting, logging contributions, "joining" projects, is when an account becomes important — because all of the activi

# [Sam_Butler] _2. It's desired for all stakeholders involved with the platform, to *only* receive compensation based on long-term outcomes._
# [Sam_Butler] _If a solar installer finds a local group of neighbors to work with, the ideal plan is for them to only get payment once the panels are installed and the homeowners are saving money — and the installer's compensation is directly tied to the amount of dollars and energy that the homeowners save, over the long-term._
# [Sam_Butler] _If there is any aspect of Placeflow earning compensation from the platform, it would ideally be through a mechanism like that — and perhaps, with contract language, it could help onboard some existing service providers to these types of models as well._
# [Sam_Butler] _3. In the medium/long-term, the vision for this is also to make it a federated protocol, so people can run + configure + manage their own instances of the software, while having the data and functionality be interoperable. There are some pending grants for this express purpose._

The values here are far removed from so much of the shit we see in tech and business (data selling, rentseeking, etc.) — that I forget they need to be explained, or else people won't be able to know otherwise!_
