#[tantek]VERY interesting, and tbh relieved to learn they haven't deleted any photos that they said they might!

#[tantek]deletion.

In 2018 we announced that free accounts containing over 1,000 photos and/or videos would have content actively deleted. '''In the years since, we haven’t deleted a single photo''' that was over the limit.
'''Emphasis''' in original.
#Loqiok, I added "2022-03-17 Flickr blog: [https://blog.flickr.net/en/2022/03/17/flickr-forever-2022/ Flickr forever: Creating the safest, most inclusive photography community on the planet.]
…the ability to share restricted and moderate content will be reserved for Flickr Pro members.
…
… for free accounts, photos over the 50 non-public photo limit or any moderate or restricted photos will be at risk of" to the "See Also" section of /Flickrhttps://indieweb.org/wiki/index.php?diff=80175&oldid=67626

#farrisswisherim new to the indieweb, just sticking my head in to say hi. not sure how to get started so really just learning rn
#gRegorWelcome, farrisswisher. Do you have a website or looking to get one set up?
#farrisswisherlooking to set one up! not really sure what I aim to do with it, but I really like everything I've read so far about the 'why' behind indieweb and want to get involved
#farrisswishersome context ab me: I graduated in 2020 with a BS in Comp Sci so I have a pretty basic understanding of a lot of different computer topics, but haven't really made anything myself outside of the different school projects I did over those 4 years
#farrisswishercurrently not terribly sure how to start
#gRegorFor more technical/dev questions, we have another channel #indieweb-dev. Details about our different chat channels on https://indieweb.org/discuss
#LoqiIt looks like we don't have a page for "how to start" yet. Would you like to create it? (Or just say "how to start is ____", a sentence describing the term)
#LoqiGet started on the indieweb by connecting with the indiewebcamp community, getting a personal domain, a place for your content, and setting up your home page and other indieweb essentials https://indieweb.org/how_to_start
#jan6heyo, regarding the h-card stuffs, what's considered the difference between the u-logo and u-photo? is u-photo supposed to be a real photograph? which one would an avatar image go to? are they used in different ways, by programs, or is it simple fallback of "try photo, else logo, else placeholder" ?
#jan6like, I don't really see a clear way where would an avatar go, given a logo, is generally a different thing, yet it's not really a photo either
