[fluffy] Namecheap has started pushing “handshake domains” which are the usual blockchain grift in the guise of “decentralization” but with nothing to make it usefully decentralized (or really, useful at all).

[schmarty] the entire namecheap/HNS setup feels like an oxymoron given that namecheap will let you rent a subdomain of one of their own HNS domains? so like you don't even get any of the ownership benefits?
