Oh, they released like a thousand of those here in the States, that’s for sure.

[KevinMarks] ^ that's the name of your dynamic playlist of your most recent 11 /listen s that are of type "music" (i.e. not podcast)
#
[tantek]
11 because obviously a music-related list should go to 11

t0nic what's your blog link?

I'm really curious how people use indieweb tools to interface with the internet, that sounds super cool

I follow all my content through feeds, and centralised my chats through matrix, I wanna do something for my more general "Web presence", especially since I've been less keen on fedi since eternal September

Thanks! I've spent a lot of time on it

[aciccarello]
I've never heard of BookWyrm before. The fediverse has services for everything!
#
t0nic
lol I'm literally phasing bookwyrm out of my toolset as we speak
#
t0nic
It's still extremely alpha software, ymmv
#
[aciccarello]
I also like the "Warning: This Article Is Poorly Written" on this page. I've thought about adding that to some of my posts.
#
t0nic
I'm not quite happy with the styling of that yet, needs some tuning. But thanks

Counterpoint: let us be the judge of whether it's poorly written or not!
#
[tantek]
Agreed, no need for that level of self-deprecation. Better to express that it's "an early rough draft", assuming there is author intent to clean it up
#
t0nic
There is not. That is why I mark it as poorly written.
#
t0nic
I mainly use it as a marker for posts that seem like they would be deeply technical but are not. It's saved me quite a few headaches.

I do have a big red warning on my draft pages
#
[tantek]
That's fair. Maybe characterize it as a "rough braindump" then rather than "poorly written"? I wouldn't call it poorly written.

I quite like some thoughts in the 'Digital Garden' space that give the reader an idea of the due diligence that went into the expression of an idea (and potentially it's ongoing curation etc)

[tantek] aaronpk I have no idea whether this was ever of interest to anyone else - but it started me on my journey to writing my own static site software over a decade ago - Microformats inspired me to find a way to leverage nothing more than HTML - I got lost in a world of corporate software and silos in the intervening years and just started to come full circle and get back into indieweb before Christmas - I'll have to go 'forensic' to see
#
ross[m]
what I did with this but will report back : http://microformats.org/wiki/sitemap

Loqi
hey ross[m]: it seems like this conversation is more appropriate for #indieweb-dev (Microformats)

That’s great ross[m]! Things have changed quite a bit from a decade or so ago. We’ve refocused much more on user-centric conversations, use-cases, meeting specific needs etc
