[tantek] to take it back to user-space, been thinking more about the questions about what goes (or shouldn't go) into an /appearances page, and going through both Adactio's about page example, and my own manual logging / updating of home page events, this may be one of those areas that's better described by a spectrum of approaches depending on the amount of content, both overall and per unit time
