I've been collecting bookmarks and posting them to my website for a while now. Most recently at https://flamedfury.com/bookmarks/ having read https://indieweb.org/bookmark it looks like I'm close to following an IndieWeb standard, I just need to mark them up right?

Yes indeed!

A u-bookmark-of will let you mark up your bookmarks in a way that can be understood semantically.
#
fLaMEd

I’m in the midst of updating the code under my site and that should allow me to finally dive into IndieWeb properly.

The site started in 1997. Blog added December 2000. A redesign in 2002 or so, with an update on that theme in 2021. The underlying CMS I wrote in 2000 to 2001 and updated the versions of PHP four times so far and am in the midst of shifting from 5.7 to 7.4 by the end of the year (so much changed). Then may make the jump to 8.x. But 7.4 will start giving me the ability to get familiar with the code and were I will be comfortable with

ludovicchabantLooks like there's a lot of interesting stuff happening in the Fediverse this week, so wonder how that's going to affect most of us. Could vary, I would imagine.e

Nice work on that longevity with your site

[jamietanna]Just realized that I forgot to submit my site to all of the directories. I'm pretty much positive that the only way personal sites are going to get linked anywhere is starting with those, because a link on one of the big search engines, doesn't another web page have to link to it from somewhere else, first?

I was talking to somebody on the Fediverse about that the other day, and he mentioned that.
