I like the rel=me one a lot. Why the currentcolor outside the svg?

Was thinking if you’d want to have the icon white on a background, this might make it a bit easier – it’s the `path` that is the important info. Could also provide versions with white icons within coloured boxed containers, open to suggestions what would be useful to folks.

There are places that rendered ones that can be used in an img tag would make sense - eg submitting to https://github.com/edent/SuperTinyIcons

I was going to quickly update the verify-me plugin to support it, but of course Chrome has chanegd the manifest format, so that's yakshaving I will do tomorrow instead.

^ those three posts don't have obvious IndieWeb connections, beyond just being applicable to web dev in general. That is, they are quite sensible for anyone doing web dev, but unclear if there's something in them that is particularly relevant to the IndieWeb

BeReal was a topic of conversation at border:none and a bit at IndieWebCamp (though I’m pretty sure we don't have a page for it). Apparently it's a collapsing silo: https://www.dazeddigital.com/life-culture/article/61166/1/why-did-bereal-fail-social-media-instagram-authenticity

It was interesting to me as an attempt to use constraints to affect the culture of the content. But culture is pretty fluid so it seems like a hard thing to sustain long term.

Wonder if its timing with the early pandemic made it more popular, like "everyone's at home already, no pretense"
