[Murray] I find the privacy argument particularly interesting for Mastodon. For Twitter, I can see the argument; it's not expected behaviour. But on Masto, it's absolutely expected behaviour. I expect to be able to see my public comments underneath someone else's post regardless of what host I'm on. And people don't mind that 🤷
