#coatsimilar to this indieweb community is there some indie learner community where I can learn more computer science. just curious. sorry, probably off-topic for this channel but this seemed like a place which may have the right type of folks to answer my question.

#capjamesg[d]coat I am unsure, but if you find one please let me know!
#capjamesg[d]If I am looking to learn more about computing, I find doing a search on Hacker News for the area I am interested in can result in some interesting threads to explore.
#coatcapjamesg[d]: you interested in such a community too?
#capjamesg[d]For example, when I wanted to learn more about algorithms, I found a thread on Hacker News of algorithms people liked, then I had a day of exploring Wikipedia 😄
#coatcapjamesg[d]: yes! HN is my source too but it is like hit and miss. some days HN is full of politics. other days it is about LLM. looking for somethign that is more on topic and more focussed.
#[jantuomi]I don't like the vibe that HN has, but I like to read http://lobste.rs which is very similar in format but has a way smaller community but higher quality. The content is also more programming & CS focused
