LoqiNeoCities is a free website hosting silo in the spirit of defunct silo GeoCities (Yahoo shutdown in 2009) that looks like a stepping stone to getting started on the IndieWeb https://indieweb.org/NeoCities
[Murray]@Star nothing bad about it that I know of, some information above. Doesn't seem like a huge number of people here are using it, but seen plenty of discussion around it (that page seems surprisingly light, tbf 😄)

[Joe_Crawford]One of my tics is that if I know something about the business someone knows about I will attempt to use metaphors from that business. So as we started out knowing [Ros] comes with a filmic background I used metaphors from filmmaking the the film business. So I ended up comparing additions to legacy software to a film that's mostly complete and reshoots - and the tradeoffs are similar. Sure, the footage you might have may not be perfect,
[Joe_Crawford]I have used a few approaches - there's no built in mechanism in CSS or HTML to indicate that some other content is required to make it complete. In PHP when I do `new Foo()` to create a new class there's rules for where to look for it. When creating new pages one has to keep those in mind. And when you then _change_ those pages you have to keep in mind those dependencies. Loqi might not like how technical I just got.
Loqifriendly reminder capjamesg[d], [Joe_Crawford], it looks like this conversation is getting pretty technical (implementation, JavaScript, CSS, PHP), can you take it to #indieweb-dev?

[Ros][Joe_Crawford] ++ Thanks again for another FrESH session. Jen Simmons is glorious. I’m going to be reading her code all week until the next one. Really lovely seeing you again too [capjamesg]
