btrem aaronpk: AFAICT, iMessage's "verification code" is not quite like Signal's "safety number." The former is a code attached to the account, and does not change per contact. It is meant to be published so your identity can be verified. The latter /does/ change per contact, and is meant to be private, shared only with that contact.
