Zegnat Whenever I have seen SNS used in korean/japanese media it seems to be a 1:1. Usually seen in the context of chatting with people or posting photoghraphs (e.g. Instagram). But that is all second-hand through translators. So I do not know whether that is truly how it is used

Lars-Christian @Zegnat in Norway, "SoMe" is a very common abbreviation, and very often used verbally in a colloquial sense, too. Strange that there's no obvious English counterpart.

Zegnat I see SoMe here in Sweden too, yeah. Though mostly in form of job titles. “SoMe manager”.

Zegnat [tantek]: I understand that the abbreviation comes from there, but I am not sure that is the prevelant use. E.g. I have seen things like ”taking a picture for SNS” used in asian media, which makes me think they use the abbreviation much like how Norway/Sweden uses SoMe, to mean social media in general.
