[social] I think the confusion I had is the user chatname template setup and the IndieWeb username setup for profile using my domain name.
#
[social] The setting up of the chatname with a sparkline, is the connection string (which becomes invisible in use) tying the chatname to the domain name related username. The chatname is a sort of reflector (in OpenID sense) connecting two usernames together.
