Loqi[preview] I got into a conversation today with some of the IndieWeb developers in our Homebrew Website Club meeting, talking about recent articles about a major password breach.
This got me to thinking—with some prompting from shadowy web standards advocate...
LoqiThe 1990s was a decade that saw the invention and growth of the web, dominated by independent websites, as well as nascent silos like Geocities, with a particular brightly colored and often translucent design aesthetic that would come to define the era along with under construction graphics, dancing animals, site counters, ornate backgrounds, and guest books https://indieweb.org/retro
LoqiIt looks like we don't have a page for "pixelart" yet. Would you like to create it? (Or just say "pixelart is ____", a sentence describing the term)
[tantek]I'd be concerned about possible "right of first sale" implications at least in the US, like where is the header for constraining the use of the content in addition to the purchase, that it's not a "do what you want with it, including reselling" payment?

[tantek]since we've talked a bunch about review recently, and eating venues, this is a great post format / idea, literally reviewing all the restaurants in a specific mall in one post with a ranking. also, am quite proud of the interesting variety of options in this SF mall: https://sfstandard.com/2025/07/03/stonestown-restaurants-best/
