[artlung]Text summarization, significant noun and verb extraction, etc are not new technologies. Markov chains would be one approach. Calling everything "ai" seems to be the idiomatic way we say everything now. But my Mac has had text Summarization under the Services context menu for like a decade.
[artlung](I find myself lead pedant on this, not my favorite spot to be). Nobody wants to hear the nuances of what "ai" means. A few months ago when getting help at self-checkout the fella helping me said "we're not gonna let the ai tell us what's what."
[artlung]I recall when importing blogger blog posts with titles into wordpress slight nuances in how the slugs were generated. they were VERY similar but not identical.
[Al_Abut]I didn’t realize people truly enjoy being pedantic until the first time I heard the “is a hot dog a sandwich” conversation in real life and thought I was witnessing a feedback loop of joint mental illness.
Ana3I came in to ask an opinion about writing in Spanglish on my new blogging venture. Suddenly, my eye averted to Al_Abut's words about tacos and tortas and burritos.
Ana3I opened my micro.blog account three days ago, but will share *maybe* after the new year. I would like to work on some prompts during this holiday season off from my 9-5.
[ggirelli]Hi everyone! I switched my website from GitHub pages to self hosting last Saturday. Any tips on things to look out for or keep in mind after the transition?
burgeonlabCongrats on leaving GitHub. I moved my workflow to Sourcehut earlier this year (wrote a few posts on it) and now hosting my static site on Bunny.net. I guess make sure your custom domain's (if you were using one) cname and a records are now pointing to the new host, remove old GitHub pages specific files (GitHub actions) in your site files. Check and set up SSL certificates (GitHub pages
burgeonlabdid it for you automatically if I rmb correctly). And GH pages didn't let you do any cache control, security headers, so now you can set those up if you want.
itskalvaxusIn my day to day I'm a software engineer, but I try to write about anything really, from being a parent, a vegan, a metalhead, perspectives from the Netherlands and my love for nature.
itskalvaxusHi all, long time lurker. My name is Gerben and I've 'joined' the IndieWeb movement about a year ago with https://gerben.dev. I use my site for blogs, photos and 'social media' for which I use Brid.gy and WebMentions.
Ana2I really enjoy the layout of your blog posts, Ggirelli. I am excited to write my first prompt during work. There is a lot of down time today due to the holiday this week.

[Al_Abut]I tried adding your rss to my reader and it looks like it has everything except your posts? Are there multiple feeds and I added the wrong one?
