[Sophia_wood]2 I look forward to reading it. I refused to look at mine this year.

[Sophia_wood]2 Strava - I don't put everything in strava - so it's not going to be accurate anyway for 2025

Loqi [preview] [Tantek Çelik] I checked my Strava: Year in Sport 2025 after I did my last run on the 31st, and it felt a bit light. When I checked my saved images/videos from last year’s Strava Year in Sport, it was clear they had dropped several things from 2024 to 2025.

[Al_Abut] Oh thanks [snarfed], now I'm posting HN comments while tipsy on a Friday night like it's 2009
#
[Al_Abut] Let's see if I have to delete any of these when I’m hung over tomorrow. So far [Simon_Willison] is the only other orange links from YC alums that I see.

[jeremycherfas] I enjoyed my http://last.fm playback though I am not what to make of the details about my rank for specific artists and tracks. I don't actually have any kind of network there and I never use it to find new music. So, just a nice record from when I switched to Navidrome.
#
[jeremycherfas] Not sure what to make.

presgas Hello! Long time web watcher, first time joiner. I am a sysadmin (now support for sysadmins) for a long time now but not a strong coder at all. Been exploring more of the small web (again) and realizing how much I need to catch up. Retracted from much of the socials and started up a blog with Publii:
#
presgas However, I want to migrate to something even simpler but still needing to explore some of the finer points of web stuff. Hope to join up on some events and learn about things along with passing on whatever is in me about sysadmin stuff. I love exchanging knowledge!!

presgas Thanks everyone! Still trying to figure out the bridges as well.
#
[Al_Abut] I love your terminal vibes @presgas
#
presgas Yes, that is what I may need to learn about css. If I move to another blog software; emulating that theme...or at least getting close to it
#
[Al_Abut] @presgas that sounds like a fun project. [artlung] hosts regular “frontend study halls” with a big focus on CSS, if you want to hang out on a zoom with questions. Just follow this tag from the events page:

[Al_Abut] https://events.indieweb.org/tag/frontend
#
[Al_Abut] (Oops, that’s right, haha)
#
presgas Apologies, thought it was still in line with a general intro. Also still working out how to do mentions and get alerted with mentions with all the bridges.
#
[Al_Abut] Not sure mentions work across the bridges? Someone could correct me though.
#
presgas I'm not sure I would get alerted to [Al_Abut] mentioning me in #indieweb-dev

Loqi PASTA is an acronym/abbreviation for Publish Anywhere, Save To (private) Archive, the practice of automatically saving a copy of whatever you post on (social media) silos to someplace else under your own control, like a private directory on your own server, or a local folder on your laptop that is less vulnerable to site-death https://indieweb.org/PASTA

christopher-besc I just reimplemented my homepage and wrote an article on the technical choices I made: https://chris-besch.com/articles/no_framework_homepage
#
christopher-besc Most interestingly I use React without a framework and Immich as a CMS.
#
christopher-besc I hope some of that is helpful to others.
