how does Loqi pull blog posts?
#
WinnerWind
i think im writing a rather interesting blog post and id like people to read it and discuss it after im done writing it
#
[Michael_Kupiet]
@WinnerWind I've never done it myself, but since nobody is replying... I believe if you publish posts to the Fediverse and tag them #indieweb, Loqi picks them up for the #Meta channel and newsletter.
#
[Michael_Kupiet]
@WinnerWind, sorry, I meant the #indieweb-stream channel, not #indieweb-meta
#
WinnerWind
interesting! unfortunately my blog is not federated so I guess i'm out of luck, haha
#
WinnerWind
thanks for the tip though
#
[Michael_Kupiet]
Sure. me neither... folks around here use all kinds of interactive features like Bridgy Fed and Web Mentions, which I will someday implement, but haven't yet.
#
Loqi
friendly reminder WinnerWind, [Michael_Kupiet], that's a lot of dev jargon! federated, implement... can you move to #indieweb-dev?

WinnerWind, if it's indieweb related, you can submit it to indienews
#
gRegor
What is indienews
#
Loqi
IndieNews is an indieweb-specific news aggregator which only accepts submissions via webmention, and is for syndicating posts relevant to the indieweb https://indieweb.org/indienews

@winnerwind To submit something to IndieNews you do something like `<a href="https://news.indieweb.org/en" class="u-syndication">This post also appears on IndieWeb News</a>` (or you can leave the link text blank). My website templates are set up to allow easy webmention additions since I do it a lot.
#
[fluffy]
Oh and then you have to send a webmention
#
gRegor
Which you can send via the form on https://news.indieweb.org/en/submit

Oh I didn't know about that one! Nice.
#

There's pages for other languages linked from the homepage
#
[fluffy]
I have automatic webmention submissions on my site as well (using Pushl)
#
[fluffy]
There's a bunch of other ways to do it too of course
#
[fluffy]
what is webmention?
#
Loqi
Webmention is an open web standard (W3C Recommendation) for conversations and interactions across the web, a powerful building block used for a growing distributed network of peer-to-peer comments, likes, reposts, and other responses across the web https://indieweb.org/webmention
#
gRegor
Yep! If you run into issues submitting let us know in #indieweb-dev and we can help.

Is there a guideline for submitting to Indieweb news? Looking at the feed, I get it, seems like any news directly relating to web use/contents, kinda like here, but is there a stated policy somewhere?
