ZodiacalComet plantarum: that is one way. I've seen others take them from a silo (e.g. bringing them from Mastodom). There is also third-party services that provide comments that you can embed into your site.

I found https://bolt80.com/silorider/, but I think that's designed for sharing my whole posts on multiple 'silos', rather than just comments
