i had a crazy idea on the plane and i think it's going to work
#
aaronpk
using wunderlist as an offline-capable micropub client
#
GWG
Interesting.
#
aaronpk
it's really good about working offline and syncing properly
#
aaronpk
and i use it all the time anyway
#
aaronpk
so i made a special list called "aaronparecki.com" and anything I put in there is turned into a micropub post and posted to my site
#
aaronpk
oh yeah this is gonna be good
#
aaronpk
brb gonna go get on another plane

aaronpk, indieauth.com currently requires indieauth endpoints to return a "200 OK" when being queried without any parameters. otherwise the "indieauth: authorization_endpoint" header check fails
#
aaronpk
i think there's an open issue for that
#
aaronpk
some http libraries make it really hard to get the response from anything that is not a "successful" response :(
#
aaronpk
this is another reason I tend to favor RPC-style APIs but oh well
#
cweiske
I had to patch withknown to deliver a "200 ok" because of that.
#
aaronpk
ugh i should really fix that
#
aaronpk
i'll see if i can get that onto my list for today

Hello. I've got a Micropub question: when sending `mp-syndicate-to` from a client, can/should that be an array to allow for multiple syndication targets?
#
barryf
The spec suggests it should be a single value but it may be useful to syndicate to >1 target when creating a new post.

barryf: an array is fine. in general values in micropub can be arrays or single values

aaronpk, an issue about indieauth's "IndieAuth" header:
#
cweiske
when a client accessed the withknown's indieauth endpoint and was not logged in, it immediately redirected to known's normal login
#
cweiske
which means that the IndieAuth: header was sent along with the Location redirect
#
cweiske
but the final login form did not contain that header, because it's a completely separate part of withknown
#
aaronpk
that seems like a good thing for Known to do
#
aaronpk
not sure if you saw but i just fixed indieauth.com to check for the header when it gets a 400 response
#
cweiske
so indieauth.com would not see the indieauth header at all, and thus telling the user that the header is missing
#
cweiske
I saw that
#
cweiske
but this here is different
#
aaronpk
i can double check it's checking for it on a 30* response too
#
aaronpk
cause it shouldn't need to follow any redirects
#
cweiske
here my proposal is that the indieauth client should also check for the indieauth header in redirects
#
aaronpk
agreed
#
cweiske
fine :)
#
cweiske
then I can remove 50% of the code in my patch to known
#
cweiske
i'll open an issue
#
aaronpk
great thanks
#
cweiske
we'll need to adjust the .. erm .. spec, too.
#
aaronpk
speaking of the spec, i've been working on writing it up as a proper extension to OAuth 2.0
#
cweiske
ah. cool.
