petermolnar GWG, a sidenote: I ended extending https://github.com/vrypan/webmention-tools - essentially it's doing xpath like lookups with Beautifulsoup instead of complete mf2 parsing, so for targeted parsing it might be simpler that traditional, complete mf2 parsing
