Is there any Disqus to Webmention exporter/importer in the wild? Would be happy to move comments to https://webmention.io/

No I believe they still work

raucao: Do you have JavaScript disabled?
#
[eddie]
strange
#
sknebel
you have to return "undefined", otherwise they redirect to the return value
#
sknebel
(which is apparently "false" in this case)
#
aaronpk
I thought you had to return "false" to prevent the event from being handled
#
aaronpk
omg no that's the jquery API I'm thinking of
#
Zegnat
I just stopped putting javascript:-URLs in href-attributes. Stick to click events instead.

Same. Also for simple things like comment forms on sites.

yeah, not going to happen. the eu is notoriously bad describing these things in an understandable way. my employer had a 3 hour session about is yesterday for our team leads, I'll update anyone with actual specifics IF anyone gets it here.

That would be sweet petermolnar
#
aaronpk
yes plz add to that wiki page if you learn anything!
#
petermolnar
what I already know it'll be a nightmare for hadoop land :(
#
petermolnar
so far what I'm guessing immediately is that webmentions will need to change the acceptance of delete/gone requests to MUST
#
petermolnar
to comply with the right to be forgotten idea
#
petermolnar
which will be lovely once a domain gets taken over by someone who sends delete requests for everything the domain ever done
#
sknebel
does it say you have to have automatic processes for that?

I am spending some time trying to understand GDPR. The key part is granular consent and revocation to use of personal data. There are some exceptions for public data though, so parsing for mf2 may be ok under that heading.
#
Zegnat
The question might be for how long public data may be considered public data. If you parse my phone number from my site today, and I take it down tomorrow, is your copy “public data” or are you now managing “personal data”?
