#gRegorLoveHmm, should commentpara.de be able to log in to the wiki?
#aaronpkI think I figured out how I got in this situation
#aaronpkI started with relmeauth.dev, and decided I didn't like that name as a domain name, so chose something "friendlier", "indieauth.com"
#aaronpkI made the abstraction of the relmeauth bit as close to OAuth as I could, because that was an established thing and I wanted to create as few new things as possible
#aaronpkthen because that API happened to look a lot like OAuth, I realized it would make sense to allow your domain to delegate to a provider you choose and why not also follow that same API
#aaronpkand since none of this requires pre-existing relationships since these are all "public clients" in OAuth terms, it was possible for the existing service to serve both roles
#aaronpkarguably the IndieAuth spec used by Micropub should not have been called IndieAuth, since the precedent was set for "IndieAuth" to be used as just the name of the relmeauth abstraction service. but here we are.
#snarfedorganic emergent evolution is often good for code specs if it's managed right...
#snarfed...but yeah the refactoring sometimes extends beyond just code or spec details :P
