[manton] I don't think a "core properties" section needs to grow much at all. There could be a very limited number of things that all servers should accept: name, content, summary, photo, date, etc. Bringing all of MF2 into the discussion really complicates things. Then if a server wanted to (for example) support book reading, it could add that on as needed.
