#[eddie]jalcine: makes sense! I think one thing I definitely want to do is research if I can make my Micropub and Media endpoints be built into Lambda functions on AWS so it doesn’t depend on a specific digital instance of a computer.
#[eddie]I’m hoping that would make it more likely that I would have minimal downtime for those functions
#[eddie]Then, I’m hoping to have the rest of my website to sit on a on-demand instance (either AWS, Digital Ocean or Linode).
#[eddie]Still thinking things through but I *think* that would make my system a bit more robust

#[grantcodes]!tell doubleloop interesting ideas on the microsub subscriptions, I thought of building in a way to follow twitter or instagram users via granary directly into together but never got around to it yet. If you build something to help with following people like that I would recommend building it as a microsub "client" - it would never need to read any posts but it would work with any server
#[grantcodes]!tell eddie take a look at zeit now for hosting too, been playing a little with their serverless stuff and it is super slick, but I think it is just some polish with aws hiding somewhere in the background

#[eddie]Ugh, 10 hours of downtime. Thankfully, I checked the server when I woke up with my son in the night and I just restarted my server but wow that was irritating

#JeremycherfasAt last, found a version of OSX that my laptop can upgrade to.
#jackyfinally finished a indieauth client adapter for Elixir's go-to auth library (Ueberauth, it's like Devise/Omniauth) in Rails. It's not good for others to use yet but will definitely post soon!
#GWGLast night, after failing to get webhooks working on Compass, I went in reverse and configured my Home Assistant instance to query Compass.
#Loqidowntime is the time period or duration while a site, whether indieweb, commons, or silo, is offline and unreachable https://indieweb.org/downtime

#doubleloop[eddie]: oh cool, thanks for the tip about Ek and OPML
#doubleloop[grantcodes]: thanks - I was thinking though that one downside of doing it in the client is that then you can only do it from that client?
#doubleloopmblaney: re: import/export, very true, I was thinking the same with my 'script' comment - read from one endpoint and write to the other. Still, an export file just as an external backup might also be nice, no?

#snarfedheh, you could write a minimal microsub server that just reads and writes an OPML file, and does no actual feed fetching or item handling

#[Vincent]Hello, is anyone experiencing problems with Bridgy? I noticed it had stopped sending content from Twitter, so I logged in and reconnected it. Now if I click on an interaction to re-send it, Twitter looks like it disconnects the account it’s end. Bridgy at the top says Twitter is paused.
#[Vincent]Logging in to Twitter and it says it is all fine and connected?!
#snarfedhey [Vincent], what's your bridgy user page?
#snarfed(it's not bridgy-wide fwiw, other twitter bridgy users all look fine right now)
#[Vincent][snarfed] Sorry, ignore me. I’ve literally just realised its my fault. My server was throwing an error I hadn’t uncovered. I believe this is the cause.

#mblaneydoubleloop yes I agree, dobrado can import OPML and I would like to be able to generate it too.
#mblaney(generate rather than export because I would like to be able to subscribe to OPML)
