I like TheOldReader, it works well, its easy to setup and manage, and any of my non-techie friends that became interested have liked it (or similar sites, like Feedly). RSS is just easy, and most sites I've looked at support it; heck, I've even contacted sites that didn't and they've got it running extremely quickly.
