I guess they're trying to make money from something *other* than Google?

Huh, I think that actually looks kinda cool 🙂 Will be interesting to see how it works out

That's clever. I see companies buying that for their staff

!tell snarfed super sorry you've had to work around my crappy software! https://github.com/snarfed/bridgy/commit/44e5d0ac3bb15f1243b128abd7620741c49a4b54 but it's looking like it's getting closer to being resolved - I've removed all old publish links so I don't republish
#
Loqi
Ok, I'll tell them that when I see them next
#
jamietanna
Is there a way I can query the syndicated URL from Bridgy, without needing to re-publish it, causing errors for you?

[snarfed]
Hah, no worries! Totally ok, easy workaround

[snarfed]
Hmm, query publish for past syndicated URLs. From the first page of them on your user profile yes, https://brid.gy/about#api , but it doesn’t currently support paging past the first 10
#
[snarfed]
also apologies, “mini DoS” was an overstatement 😁

Haha it's alright, it definitely doesn't help! Sorry it took a while

Interestingly, I'm seeing my fixes not working on a pingback via Telegraph, I wonder if either there's retry logic in Telegraph itself, or I've missed another issue on my stuff?

Cause my logs don't show the retries

Yep, it's my bad - got my crontab syntax wrong for Spring Boot - what I thought was every 6 hours was 6 minutes :(
#
[snarfed]
also feel free to reattempt publishes for any posts you need the syndication URLs for. Bridgy serves ~10-20k 4xxes per day, I definitely don’t let any of those alert me individually 😁
#
gRegorLove
I always have to check https://crontab.guru/ when I update cron, haha
#
barnaby
gRegorLove++ nice tip, I will definitely be referring to that soon as my new web host supports cron
#
Loqi
gRegorLove has 5 karma in this channel over the last year (26 in all channels)

Haha OK will do 👍🏽 I think it was only about 30 to sort, most of the issues were twitter likes which I could predict the syndication URLs for

gRegorLove unfortunately spring boot adds a seconds option so it doesn't work unfortunately, hence the whole problem 😂
#
gRegor
oh wow, they put seconds first? ouch.

yeah, I guess to allow folks to have more granularity, which then means people like me don't read it closely enough and get things wrong!
