↩️ how did this get here? I'm so confused
#
[jacky]
↩️ there's a tool that looks for IndieWeb-specific terms on Twitter and share them here

@ecrosstexas
Day 3 of the #100DaysOfCode and now I have http://IndieAuth.com authentication working with http://ecrosstexas.com

For me, categories are single and tags can be multiple. YMMV.

!tell aaronpk https://github.com/indieweb/microsub/issues/24 I assume Monocle supports this, which you note you added to Aperture and is in Yarns...

Loqi
Ok, I'll tell them that when I see them next

Has anyone ever considered removing "posted on" dates from their site?
#
capjamesg[d]
Most sites use time as a pseudo-relevance factor -- recent posts appear on your homepage, higher in feeds, etc.
#
capjamesg[d]
I wonder if there's another way.

I find it very frustrating when it takes ages to try and work out how old a post is, especially if it's i.e. "how do I do a thing with language/framework" which may have an impact depending on age
#
jamietanna
so I make sure at least the publish date is very visible
#
capjamesg[d]
That's very interesting jamietanna.
#
capjamesg[d]
I hadn't thought about published date as an indicator of relevance.
#
capjamesg[d]
(relevance in the sense of whether something is still applicable in the moment you are reading)
#
capjamesg[d]
And any proxy ("this post is older than six months") isn't as useful as actually posting the published on date.
#
jamietanna
Oh yes, so I would always prefer the raw date than "posted over a year ago"
#
jamietanna
but for updated, I'd say "updated a week ago" or "last updated 5 years ago" would be fine, as long as publish date is clear from when it was first written

manual until it hurts: both the google drive api and the gdrive cli app is so utterly terrible to be used with nested folders that I gave up and wrote hardcoded a map with folder ids instead of trying to automate it.

!tell GWG I got my plant sensor set up. I have a web server on my local network that I can use to see graphs.
#
Loqi
Ok, I'll tell them that when I see them next

It takes a minute or two to collect data / generate graphs. The Pi Zero is quite limited in its RAM.

The problem with "simple" unmoderated peer-to-peer protocols like AirDrop, unsolicited photos, e.g. on an airplane: https://www.sfgate.com/travel/article/United-flight-SFO-deboarded-unruly-teen-passenger-16333867.php
