[snarfed]capjamesg in practice, afaik we haven’t seen any actual webmention DoS attacks yet. if async isn’t easy, i’d recommend you ignore it for now and revisit if you actually need it. plenty of us process wms synchronously, and async is only one of many techniques for scaling
