nekr0zcapjamesg[d]: not really. I host my site in a private repo in gitolite running on a Pi3B in my cupboard (no to have private and deleted posts in a publicly accessible git repo, right?), so I simply read the gitolite manual regarding the hooks, it was really straightforward.
