aaronpk, does Monocle recognize (and do something special to display?) RSVP posts?
#
aaronpk
i don't think so
#
gRegor
I've not noticed any special display for them
#
[tantek]
I was hoping to see it said something like "RSVPd yes to" or something similar in the reply context of https://monocle.p3k.io/preview?url=https://tantek.com/2022/119/t1/
#
[tantek]
"events my friends/followings are going to" would be a useful category, especially if displayed as a calendar!
#
[tantek]
similarly, have you considered Monocle recognizing (and doing something special to display) /reacji posts? E.g. https://monocle.p3k.io/preview?url=https://tantek.com/2022/060/t2/
#
gRegor
I think we can remove p-name from /reacji#How_to_markup right? We don't recommend p-name on /note posts anymore since we reduced the cases where p-name is implied
#
aaronpk
i definitely want to do something interesting with events and RSVPs
#
gRegor
I like the corner icons on your rsvp posts, aaronpk
#
[tantek]
gRegor if we reduced the cases where p-name is implied, wouldn't that mean that those cases need explicit p-name markup?
#
gRegor
If it's for feed readers maybe. I thought we had moved away from recommending it in how-to examples for posts that don't have a title https://indieweb.org/note#Including_a_p-name_in_a_note

maybe only p-summary as a fallback for responses, especially responses that consuming code may not know how to handle?

Can anyone help me solve a git problem on a remote server? I need to get hooks/post-receive to write to my main website directory but my command isn't working as expected.

I seem to recall someone was using emoji to represent each post type.

I do that in webmention.js

Nobody ever RSVPs to posts on my site but if they did they'd get a fancy little layered emoji, as a treat
#
GWG
I want to add the option of an icon in the updated implementation of webmentions, set a default, let people change it. The original code overlaid an emoji for reacjis.

[tantek]
what are emoji to represent each post type
#
Loqi
It looks like we don't have a page for "emoji to represent each post type" yet. Would you like to create it? (Or just say "emoji to represent each post type is ____", a sentence describing the term)
#
[tantek]
emoji to represent each post type is /posts#Types_of_Posts
#
GWG
[tantek]: That should look good in the new code.

Hi! i'm having a nightmare with IFTTT webhooks, JSON -> micropub - I've tried to explain it on stackoverflow https://stackoverflow.com/questions/72339874/html-in-json-built-in-filter-code-on-ifttt-breaks-webhook - I've gone about as far as I can solo. I just can't explain the problem well enough to find out what's wrong!

p-summary as fallback makes sense. I'd expect most consumers know how to use p-content / e-content, though. I may need to review/update /comments#How_to_display because it doesn't appear to mention p-content.
#
gRegor
At a quick glance, "get commenter information to display
#
gRegor
" there could link to /authorship-spec
