[manton] One concern I have with everyone adopting the Mastodon API is that it may lead to servers and clients not being able to differentiate much. I expect most Mastodon clients assume that the full API is available. But maybe my server platform doesn’t have exactly the same features, so I want clients to be able to gracefully adapt to what is available.
