[tantek] yes I don't think we disagree. I wasn't aiming for a measure of "strictly necessary" but rather some kind of escape hatch, or maybe we don't have to worry about some of these problems as long as IndieWeb protocols assume the author/user has full agency over their personal web presence and thus control over responses.
