[snarfed]aaronpk is right that other protocols are more like what you describe. beyond SSB, which is overly p2p (to its detriment), Nostr and Farcaster in particular have the architecture you describe. key-based identity, client signing, data is sent to multiple servers ("relays," "hubs")
