Hi everyone, I am looking to publish a website on the indieweb, I am following the guide. I was wondering if people here has recommendations for a domain name registrar? I see recommendations here (https://indieweb.org/personal-domain#Domain_Registrars) but I wanted to know if people here have personal recommendations. it shouldnt matter which I chose right?

As per: 🌐 You need your own personal domain to use as your primary online identity:

Get your own personal domain name - Ask a friend or colleague for a recommended domain name registrar (e.g. that they use and like/trust/respect)

You have to be careful with 2FA, sometimes it can "feel" like a second factor but actually be the same one under the hood.

Passkeys, from what I have seen, are great for a single device but the sharing of the passkey across multiple devices goes against its design. What's more, all the websites who have the feature to see the devices logged in (to see if there is one that shouldn't be) will think they are all the same device. Makes an excellent feature broken and unusable.

Really depends on what you're trying to protect against

there is no perfect security, there is only degrees of protection against specific types of attacks

And that is why I am glad I got a security course in uni. They hammered "no perfect security" into my head. Now I can't help but look for faults...
