what is a jam?
#
Loqi
♫ jam is an active type of post used to share a song that you are recently enjoying https://indieweb.org/jam
#
[artlung]
https://panamaplaylists.com is certainly interesting.

> _I found the real Spotify accounts of celebrities, politicians, and journalists. Many use their real names. With a little investigating, I could say with near-certainty: yep, this is that person._

[artlung]
> _I’ve been scraping their playlists for over a year. Some individuals even have a setting enabled that displays their last played song. I scraped this continuously, so I know what songs they played, how many times, and when._

some cute ideas in here! https://hyperclay.com/

(lots of prior art, of course, but i like when folks use this approach)

lolsob at "have to keep fixing typewriters" 😭
#
[tantek]
great explanation of the goals / concept. lost me at "is a NodeJS server" tho
#
[artlung]
the server end is necessary, of course, for persistence. people choose the server tech they need for that.
#
[artlung]
Effectively `contenteditable` + server saves
#

herebox mentioned CRDT the other day which I had heard of conceptually but is something I want to play with at some point. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Conflict-free_replicated_data_type

#
[schmarty]
yjs has pretty great docs that explain CRDTs (in the context of their software, of course)

CRDT has 1 karma over the last year

re: "the server end is necessary, of course, for persistence. people choose the server tech they need for that" yeah to me that should be a single standalone PHP file, in alignment with the single HTML file. no Node server, no npm. all that crap = highly fragile over time.
#
[artlung]
build it tantek!
#
[tantek]
artlung, it's literally one of my project I've been incrementally documenting approaches / design on the wiki: https://indieweb.org/wiki-projects#Static_Pages_Plus_HTTP_Headers

what is tiddlywiki

TiddlyWiki is a responsive website platform built as a single file in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript https://indieweb.org/TiddlyWiki
