[morganm] [artlung] You showed me a website a while ago that was like a guide to finding features in different browsers dev tools
#
[morganm] What was it again?
#
Loqi It looks like we don't have a page for "it again" yet. Would you like to create it? (Or just say "it again is ____", a sentence describing the term)
#
[artlung] [morganm] I suspect it was this one https://www.canidev.tools

[morganm] > Why this method works
#
[morganm] > Quite simply all the browser is remembering doing is HTTP requests it made and received, upto some generous memory and browser limits that may exist. These requests are able to made into a format the browser can export as a specific type of file called a HAR file.

scientiac I have been trying to send a "p-in-reply-to" reply from my static site using webmention.app CLI but webmention.io receives it as a "link" "activity":
{"type":"link"},"target":"https://<link>"}#

scientiac This is such an insightful perspective on the topic!

scientiac I have put the following:

scientiac In response to <a href="https://<link>">Titile</a>:

scientiac <p>💬 <span class="p-in-reply-to">
#
scientiac </span></p>
#
IWDiscord <scientiac>
#
scientiac When i test the page with indiewebify.me it detects "In Reply To" but when webmention.io receives it says the activity type is "link". Is this a webmention.app problem? I am using the auto generated atom feed from zola static site generator.

scientiac I put all three in a single post and ran the workflow, and the only webmention received by webmention.io is "u-like-of" it ignored normal link and the reply. Is this an expected outcome or am I making any mistakes still?
#
scientiac Thanks! I will use a single kind of response per post. I like it, it's minimal.

Loqi Post Type Discovery specifies an algorithm for consuming code to determine the type of a post by its content properties and their values rather than an explicit “post type” property, thus better matched to modern post creation UIs that allow combining text, media, etc in a variety of ways without burdening users with any notion of what kind of post they are creating https://indieweb.org/post_type_discovery
#
scientiac I just use webmention.app cli to send and webmention.io to receive and get the json from the API, so i haven't implemented anything logically except reading the json output of webmention.io and formatting it in the html. So, I am limited to how webmention.app and webmention.io does things and I am fine with it.

aaronpk if someone wants to have a go at updating the go-discord-irc code to upload long messages somewhere I think this is the function that would need changes: https://github.com/qaisjp/go-discord-irc/blob/master/bridge/irc_manager.go#L382
