[Al_Abut][tantek] this one's for you - I'm trying out a mobile browser where you can turn off javascript for all websites by default and have a one click button to turn it back on as needed. Just barely started trying it out and I'm already addicted to the speed.
[Al_Abut]I'm trying out the heaviest and most unreadable sites I can think of just for the fun of it. Haven't tried loading the nytimes home page in years.
[Michael_Kupiet]I use iCabMobile, you can turn off JavaScript with one click, plus a ton more and a responsive developer who actually answers his email. Been using it for years.

[Al_Abut]And setting up the UI the way you want makes it feel even faster. I've got a single one tap buttons set up on the tool bar for turning on JS or reader mode
[Michael_Kupiet]Yeah, iCabMobile is similar… all tool bars and menus are customizable, even pop-up or contextual menus. +1,000,000 other customizations, like I use custom user agents per sites in some cases, it’s got a ton of plug-ins and things that it comes with, it’s pretty sweet. In fact, it’s so customizable it’s a little bit of a pain… I got one profile set up the way I want, but occasionally I need to switch profiles to switch bet
[Michael_Kupiet]and personal contexts, and it works completely differently because I haven’t gotten around to setting up all the same customizations as my main profile.

btremHow long has it been since I've done any php? So long that I didn't put in line delimeters (i.e., semi-colon), and couldn't figure out why Drupal was complaining! Exacerbated by the fact that in js, the semicolon is optional. :-/

btremThere are *so* many php extensions for VS Code. Any recommendations? (Or ones I should avoid?) For me, syntax highlighting, good; constantly popping up "intellisense" modals that I have to escape out of, bad. ;-)
[Michael_Kupiet]Perpetually flipping between several languages, there’s three things that have perpetually become mush in my mind: whether lines need semicolons, whether logical AND is “and” or “&&”, whether string concatentation is “+”, “&”, or “.”. Runner up: assignment “=“ vs equivalence “==“ vs reassignment “:=“
