When I first came across humans.json (which someone had stuck under /.well-known, no less), I went looking at the spec and at rel values with the general idea in my head of "how about not a side-file though." But it felt tricky for what they seem to want to accomplish. Seems they're going for a web of trust of the degree to which they don't publish AI-generated content. We could meet in person and you could be fully convinced that I'm a human but...

... not trust that I never publish AI-generated articles.

I do appreciate, at least to a degree, that they've provided a consuming use-case (browser extensions) already.

We do have consumers for xfn. Mastodon verification, for example. (ignore the one BradFitz and I built at Google nearly 20 years ago)

I certainly didn't mean to imply there weren't consumers for...well, anything else in particular, really. Just that I appreciated them making a consumer an early priority.

Thinking about it again has caused me to wind up further down the train of thought it kicked off when I first saw it, which involves an hCard+xfn blogroll, categories, probably tags, possibly a misappropriation of "updated..." I think to parallel one of their goals would require a way to FYND the blogroll though. I think I'm done noodling on it for tonight though.

Via @adactio a very good article summing up new HTML + CSS features for a future FrESH https://blog.gitbutler.com/the-great-css-expansion

^ thought note this is already outdated πŸ˜… Anchor positioning is now baseline (albeit very recently), not limited; dialogs can have light dismiss; `grid-lanes` (masonry) just landed in WebKit, and I think `focusgroup` now has a partial implementation in Chromium? CSS/HTML are moving *fast* πŸƒβ€β™€οΈ

It is encouraging that Apple aren't dragging their feet as much now

This latest WebKit release has been great. Sure, plenty of bugs and issues outstanding, but there are so many features that WebKit "has" on paper, but which don't work due to bugs, so the large focus on bug fixes and engine rewrites is a wonderful thing to see

Just found that a local sports team has an RSS feed for their schedule. The pubDate is the day of the game and there's special <ps:opponent> tags
#
[aciccarello]
I'm not really sure how that would be consumed though
#
[aciccarello]
Oh, that's the normal ical
#
[artlung]
`ps` has a namespace of http://www.prestosports.com/ nifty
#
[artlung]
I think they're actually using the extensibility of feeds there. nice. probably they have other consumers of that data.

I've made some progress on seeing as many (semi)pro sports teams in San Diego as I can. I've been to 4+ games so far this year. https://www.ciccarello.me/reviews/san-diego/sports/

I have tickets for an indoor soccer game this weekend

Someone suggested I add an automated import of each team's record to my page but I don't want to maintain that many integrations πŸ˜…
#
[aciccarello]
Especially because pro-sports leauges are pretty chaotic. Major League Volleyball is in the process of being rebranded from the Pro Volleyball Federation. The website for the mens volleyball team/league was just down with no clear news. There are two women's ultimate leagues depending on where you are in the country.
#
[aciccarello]
I would need some more-consistent data source than going to each league individually.
#
[aciccarello]
Again probably not worth integrating. I'm still figuring out how I want to manage/markup review/guide pages

[aciccarello] Cool! I have a page for visiting all the NBA arenas β€” https://www.manton.org/nba-arenas/ β€” and for some reason I never thought to put team logos on there. I’m going to have to add that to mine.
#
[aciccarello]
Most of the logos I've direct linked to wikipedia

That's quite a few NBA teams. IIRC I've only been to the Celtics/TD Garden, and the Nuggets (was Pepsi Center back then?)
