Last I was aware it still has that problem but I haven’t poked at it recently
#
[fluffy]
It seems to have been fixed
#
[fluffy]
at least on the version running on plush.city
#
[fluffy]
yeah https://plush.city/@fluffy/116717873206644519 I posted with `#testing` and then edited with `#testing2` and it shows up on hashtag search on multiple instances

[snarfed] Is there a particular process for updating my indieweb/bsky bridge name? Is opening a ticket on github still the best way to do it or is there a self-service option I’m just not finding?

#
[snarfed]
[fluffy] yes! it should be entirely self serve, https://fed.brid.gy/docs#bluesky-enhanced
#
[fluffy]
Ah, thanks
#
[fluffy]
Oh no that’s for changing fediverse handles, I’m asking about changing my indieweb site’s handle
#
[fluffy]
Like right now I have https://bsky.app/profile/bsky.beesbuzz.biz which maps to the h-feed at https://beesbuzz.biz/ and it’s that handle I want to update
#
[fluffy]
I guess I don’t understand the instructions since it talksa bout sending a DM to @bsky.brid.gy@bsky.brid.gy
#
[fluffy]
oh wait I didn’t see the next bit
#
[snarfed]
in step 3? yeah at the end
#
[fluffy]
hm, the login is failing with a 400 error on the next step. looks like it’s trying to get the token from http://beesbuzz.biz instead of from http://auth.beesbuzz.biz
#
[snarfed]
hmm. sorry! I'll look
#
[fluffy]
also I’m not sure how I’d update the mapping for sockpuppet.band since I don’t have a unique indieauth endpoint for that site, but I have a mapping set up for it
#
[fluffy]
I don’t recall ever using an IndieAuth flow to sign in to http://fed.brid.gy before
#
[fluffy]
As I recall, the way I originally set things up was I just had the default DID mapping happen to http://beesbuzz.biz and sockpuppet.band, and then later you manually changed it to http://bsky.beesbuzz.biz and bsky.sockpuppet.band, respectively, over on https://github.com/snarfed/bridgy-fed/issues/2390
#
[snarfed]
right! thanks for refreshing my memory. IndieAuth login is new, and not really required for anything you're doing, just lets you manage a few existing settings in the web UI
#
[snarfed]
eg you can set a web site's Bluesky handle to its domain by just setting its DNS and clicking the 🔁 button on its user page. details in the docs there
#
[fluffy]
ah. well, is there any way to do that without IndieAuth login?
#
[fluffy]
I mean, to something other than the primary domain name.

we don't support arbitrary domain (ie other than the web site itself) self serve at all, IndieAuth or otherwise
#
[snarfed]
I think you're the only person I've done that for manually
