felipebf one question, may be silly but... I have an About section, do I create the h-card marks only at my index.html, or can I set it in my about? This h-card need to be in my home?
#
ZodiacalComet It can be in any page, it's just that at least having in it on the homepage makes it easier to point to

ZodiacalComet Most services that use your site to sign-in will only get your profile from the URL you give. Saves you some typing if it is on the homepage
#
felipebf ok, I have my name in my home, I think I will link the name to a static page with my h-card information. I hope it works. My site is not indexed in search engines I guess. I am just starting this and all I know is some HTML and how to link stuff. kkkk. Everything seems intimidating now. but I guess ill learn somehow.
#
ZodiacalComet Sorry if I'm being a little overwhelming throwing all of this. Feel free to take it slowly, there is no problem with taking one step at a time
#
felipebf if I add the mark it will be visible? Can I add and hyde it, just to sites check and read the markup? I dont want to add extra info, I already have an about.html
#
ZodiacalComet You can! If it is in the HTML it will be parsed regarless on UI visibility
#
felipebf so I have an hcard like this for example. I just drop inside my code and thats it? i will trye here and see what happens.
#
felipebf <a class="h-card" href="http://waterpigs.co.uk">
#
felipebf Barnaby Walters
#
felipebf </a>
#
felipebf yes
#
felipebf ill add the webring option in the bottom of my index
#
felipebf the arrows and so
#
felipebf thi @ is my github username?
#
gRegor Once you have both of thoe, https://indiewebify.me/validate-rel-me/ can validate
#
felipebf I will add the infor for h-card at the bottom, add this rel=me info as well. Iĺl do it now, I hope I can do this
#
felipebf <ul>
#
felipebf <li><a href="https://github.com/felipebrasilblog" rel="me">@felipelipebrasilblog on Github</a></li>
#
felipebf </ul>
#
felipebf <li><a href="mailto:felipefelicio@gmail.com" rel="me">felipefelicio@gmail.com</a></li>
#
felipebf Iǘe added this to my footer
#
felipebf https://felipebrasilblog.github.io/
#
felipebf do you know how to remove those list dots?
#
felipebf kkkkk
#
felipebf its ugly now
#
felipebf kkkkk
#
felipebf i mean, kkkk is laughts in portuguese
#
gRegor If you want to use Github for web sign in, now on https://github.com/felipebrasilblog you would need to update your profile so it links to your website: https://felipebrasilblog.github.io/
#
ZodiacalComet Answering your question, what matters is the link with rel=me. It is not required to have them in a list. If you want to keep it like that, applying CSS 'list-style: none' to the <ul> container removes the dots
#
felipebf i think i got
#
felipebf i went to the profile and edit
#
felipebf and there is name, bio, pronouns, etc
#
felipebf I just need to edit on github and it will get this info from github?
#
felipebf i mean, felipebrasilblog.github.io/index.html ?
#
felipebf where do i find this url from github?
#
gRegor Enter https://github.com/felipebrasilblog no need for the index.html
#
felipebf there is nothing in my URL (o.0)
#
gRegor What this is doing is updating your public github profile. For example, on mine https://github.com/gRegorLove/ under the photo is a link to my website.
#
felipebf i put this in my URL: www.felipebrasilblog.github.io
#
felipebf I don use a private domain name
#
felipebf https://felipebrasilblog.github.io/
#
felipebf check now, its linking to github
#
felipebf i believe
#
felipebf SUCESS!!!!!!
#
gRegor enter https://felipebrasilblog.github.io/ and it should prompt you to confirm the request via your Github.
#
felipebf now, the h-card, I add again at the bottom?
#
ZodiacalComet ^ You can also put it on the <h1> that already has your name
#
felipebf Cool
#
felipebf I just put the link in my name at the bottom
#
felipebf thanks a lot
#

gRegor bringing some Micropub chat from #microformats here. From the Micropub session, looks like there was agreement to add some stable extensions to the spec. I might try to write a PR for some of those. Popup and video: https://indieweb.org/2026/Micropub
