What [artlung] said…
#
[artlung]
I have again created an event in conflict with another relevant event. I've never _heard_ of Frontend Nation. https://frontendnation.com

since they position themselves as "industry experts" in "[several heavy javascript frameworks]" i would not worry about it _or_ we should work harder to pull people who would otherwise attend FEN to FrESH. 😂

You know when people lead with THE LARGEST it's like nah I’m ok thanks
#
[social]
I’m not a fan of front end frameworks, nothing against others who are. The only one I’ve personally tolerated is D3, but that is to get good charts and graphs out.
#
[tantek]
D3 is more a library than a framework right? (could take this to #indieweb-dev)
#
[artlung]
regardless tools which purport to be universal solutions to anything are the BIG ONES here. D3 is a specialist, as powerful as it is. We do have a React question in the FAQ for FrESH. We do write JS sometimes (capjamesg did just last week!) but more rarely.
#
gRegor
what is D3?
#
Loqi
It looks like we don't have a page for "D3" yet. Would you like to create it? (Or just say "D3 is ____", a sentence describing the term)
#
[social]
[tantek] it is intended as a library, but I’ve worked on two projects where it was used as the foundation framework.
#
[social]
D3 is a JavaScript library that is primarily used for creating a wide array of data charts and data visualizations.
#
[social]
D3 is a creation of Mike Bostock when he was at Stanford, along with his students. When he moved to University of Washington he turned it into Vega as small JS apps. Now it is Observable at https://observablehq.com

1. Speedrunning (because of limited time) Andy Bells Complete CSS Course
#
[morganm]
3. CSS Media Queries related to accessibility
#
[morganm]
2. My website, which is basically a template Hugo site, which uses Tachyons which feels like a old/cheaper tailwind somehow
