[aciccarello] [tantek] [Al_Abut] did anyone else say they were coming to the comedy show? I grabbed a few seats but wasn't sure how many.
#
[Al_Abut] Not that I saw?
#
[tantek] I think just us four
#
[Al_Abut] I'm 20 months out
#
[tantek] I’m bringing a local friend
#
[Al_Abut] Oh nice! Wifey poo can't make it, long story about the dog
#
[Al_Abut] Hopping in the car now…
#
[tantek] Will be there in ~10min
#
[aciccarello] So 3? No rush
#
[aciccarello] [artlung] Does the venue allow bringing in food? I was thinking of picking up some snacks to share.
#
[artlung] [aciccarello] yes, the venue is the community room of my complex and has a full kitchen with a fridge.

GWG [aciccarello]: What sort of snacks?
#
[aciccarello] GWG, I'm open to suggestions but I was thinking some pastries
#
GWG I'm a sucker for banana muffins.
#
GWG But I'm fine.
#
[artlung] Anyone else have venue questions, please do @ me
#
GWG [artlung]: I am looking forward to this, especially after my exile
#
[social] [Al_Abut] for the book note discussion in SD - What time will that be?
#
[social] Also, this is my book note template for Obsidian - https://github.com/vanderwal/Obsidian-Templates/blob/main/book_note_template.md. The first part of it down to “Media Type” is my book card metadata, which also has a link to the book note.
#
[social] Ah, in the same repo is Book Search, which I use the Obsidian plug-in Book Search and this is the template script that takes the output from Google Books and creates my book card.
#
[Al_Abut] [social] I don’t think it’s scheduled yet, lemme look. We can make that first though to help with the time difference? I don’t think anyone would object.
#
[Al_Abut] Yeah there’s nothing there yet. I think those things are usually decided day of, like an uncamp/barcamp/etc
#
[social] I like the unconference model / barcamp & foo camp model
#
[artlung] we will be keeping remote folks in mind 💯
#
[Al_Abut] Hear hear! (Like literally “can you hear us?” 😉)

#
[Al_Abut] Ok, going to start prepping for the photo walk and will leave in a bit. I’ll drop a google maps location pin on the event page when I get there a bit before 11am Pacific and keep it on the whole time we’re in the park.
#
[tantek] Good morning San Diego!
#
[tantek] What do folks think of adding maps links for the venue and other spots this weekend?
#
[artlung] 32°46'26.7"N 117°08'30.9"W is the venue. I'll also have some signage.
