[Al_Abut] @herebox thanks Mike, that’s a great rec! There’s definitely a lot of spiritual overlap with the cycling community.

[artlung] PARKING: park inside building 3: 8555 station village lane, your digital PDF for parking is what you'll need to assure you're covered. If you are coming and parking and don't have a pdf reach out to me (contact methods on event page) with year, make, model, color, license plate number and state
#
[artlung] GWG let’s consider 615pm the absolute latest to get out of the room, so work backwards for demos from that. I defer to [gRegorLove] on making a schedule choice for how long we will need. I haven't spotted any new RSVPs (but am not all the way checking my email) so we are fewer today than yesterday.

[Al_Abut] [tantek] I'm going to miss it entirely, slept through all my alarms!
#
[Al_Abut] [artlung] whew, it's a digital parking pass. My printer isn't cooperating 😆
#
[Al_Abut] I woke up at 3:45, used about an hour to study up on micropub stuff, then listened to an audiobook to fall back asleep.

chrisaldrich Tantek, I've uploaded some examples from my library card catalog to the event section at https://indieweb.org/2025/SD/Sessions#Personal_library_card_catalogs
#
chrisaldrich someone has kindly archived the catalog session, so those examples are now at https://indieweb.org/2025/SD/cardcatalogs#Chris_Aldrich_Examples
#
[artlung] Tantek ~ https://guides.loc.gov/card-catalog/card-catalog-history is remarkable
#
[artlung] https://indieweb.org/Delicious_Library is explicitly about managing a media library, if there's a natural `Category:` that emerges for collections then it would go there along with cards and card catalogs
#
Loqi It looks like we don't have a page for "card catalog" yet. Would you like to create it? (Or just say "card catalog is ____", a sentence describing the term)
#
[tantek] card catalog is a way to keep track of books or other media in a library, including a [[personal library]], typically physical media and sometimes also including digital items.

chrisaldrich Tantek, move away, I just wanted to get them up there in case you deeded them for tinkering today. I'm sure I'll do some work on that page in general this week.
#
chrisaldrich We didn't mention it yesterday, but Zotero is also a good little software for tracking and cataloging one's personal library (and has affordances for audio, video, and other sources as well as books, magazines, and journal articles): https://www.zotero.org/
#
chrisaldrich what is Zotero?
#
Loqi It looks like we don't have a page for "Zotero" yet. Would you like to create it? (Or just say "Zotero is ____", a sentence describing the term)
#
chrisaldrich it's able to scrape some of the major databases for meta-data, has an easy-to-use bookmarking set up, and is open source with import/export in a number of useful formats.
