[tantek] I can double check. Interesting that I did not notice the mismatch of 22 on the one hand and 14 + 10 on the other. But that's kind of how the trip via tram is composed. Will put those details on the page.

[tantek] I have another related question: are we bound to publish everything around the event on this specific page? Because I find it not to be the ideal tool neither for advertising & attracting people, nor as as a good tool to provide well structured information to participants, nor as a good environment to feature our enabling sponsors, which are Sia Consulting and the City of Düsseldorf ("KomKuK"). Could we do a dedicated page with

subpages for the event on a subdomain like for example http://dus-2026.indieweb.org or http://dus-2026.events.indieweb.org?

[tantek] & [Joschi_Kuphal] We also need to set up a ticket shop for people that are not familiar with the Wiki and we need to decide on a small ticket fee that keeps no-shows at bay and allows us to buy a few crates of soft drinks for the two days.

Oh, and finally, is there any kind of social media channels, e.g. Mastodon or email, and/or syndication to Bluesky/LinkedIn that we can use to announce and promote the event?
#
[tantek]
[Schepp] I've emailed Marc and asked him to setup the usual ticketing for the IndieWebCamp as a side event of Btconf with the usual suggestion donation to discourage no shows

[tantek]
For "advertising & attracting people" use the events.indieweb link. The wiki page is for more comprehensive information about the event like transit, nearby hotels, cafes etc

When is indiewebcamp

There are 2 indiewebcamp events coming up soon: 🎪 IndieWebCamp Düsseldorf on Apr 25 https://events.indieweb.org/ewHCZehNA3gg TENTATIVE: 🎪 IndieWebCamp Nuremberg on Jun 27 https://events.indieweb.org/7EIKg0lqfg93
#
[tantek]
[Schepp] that's the key page for sharing around: https://events.indieweb.org/ewHCZehNA3gg – the content there is a minimal placeholder I wrote up. Feel free to add a banner image, updated summary and description etc

If there's some feature missing from that page that you think would help make it more appealing, bring it up! aaronpk has been very responsive
#
[tantek]
We have had sponsors sections before in previous IndieWebCamps though you may have to look through the archives of past IndieWebCamps pages

[tantek]
for examples

We have used Tito for tickets in the past. I'm not eager to add ticketing to events.indieweb.org because it's a whole can of worms itself. But yes happy to discuss other things to improve the content there

In this case we should be fine on ticketing since the camp is a side event of btconf. Otherwise yeah Tito is fine when we need to do our own ticketing
