hi FroznMine, the MySQL backend is the recommended one these days if you don't have a preference
#
FroznMine
i would prefer to use mongodb if it is possible. what is the reason for "dropping" mongodb support?
#
FroznMine
and hi kylewm^^
#
kylewm
it's not dropped
#
FroznMine
thats good. why mysql is recommended?
#
kylewm
i'm not terribly family with the Mongo stuff, but it sounds like you can configure your mongo user to allow Mongo-CR authentication http://stackoverflow.com/a/29193735/682648
#
FroznMine
i saw that, the second answer links to mongodb's jira. there it's said, that it may mix up the users, because new ones will be of that old type
#
FroznMine
but i'm going to try it out now, if there is no other common practice to solve this
#
kylewm
not that I'm aware of sorry!

my connection decided to drop, strange...
#
FroznMine
anyway: I tried what they said and at least I now have no authentication to make a special request, so he correctly authorizes me
#
FroznMine
without authentication it works/starts working. i may have to think about that...
#
FroznMine
Some tweaking around with the settings and it now also works with authentication. Thanks for convincing me of 'downgrading' MongoDB's schema!
